Fresno State's 2013 baseball schedule will bring USC and the Mountain West Conference tournament to Beiden Field.
The Bulldogs, after winning seven straight league titles, will play 30 Mountain West games in their first appearance in the conference, in addition to hosting the league tourney May 22-26.
Fresno State, San Diego State, UNLV, Air Force, New Mexico and Nevada comprise the MWC. The Bulldogs will play three-game, home-and-away series against each -- the first at home against San Diego State on March 15-17.
By then, Fresno State will have played 16 nonconference games, including a season-opening three-games series at Beiden Field against UC Santa Barbara starting Feb. 17.
The Bulldogs will then play one game at home against Sacramento State, a three-game series at Stanford and a single game at Cal State Bakersfield before USC arrives March 1-3. The Trojans feature junior pitcher Sean Silva (Clovis West/Fresno City) and freshman infielder Blake Lacey (Clovis).
Fresno State's schedule counts 10 games in all with Pac-12 opponents and nine against teams that advanced to last year's NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs have made it in six of the past seven seasons, including a national title in 2008.
Coach Mike Batesole is 360-264 in 10 seasons at Fresno State and 615-419-1 in 17 years overall.
