Oil price retreats on renewed Europe concerns (AP)

Oil prices slipped from two-week highs Monday on reports that S&P may downgrade credit ratings for the wealthiest nations in Europe.

Here's how energy contracts traded:

On the New York Mercantile Exchange:

Benchmark crude rose 3 cents to end the day at $100.99 per barrel.

Gasoline fell by less than a penny to finish at $2.6137 per gallon.

Heating oil rose by less than a penny to end at $2.9924 per gallon.

Natural gas fell 12.3 cents to finish at $3.4610 per 1,000 cubic feet.

On the ICE Futures exchange in London:

Brent crude fell 15 cents to end at $109.53 per barrel.
